Awesome race turnout despite rain -- Thank YOU!

Despite rain Saturday night and Sunday morning, we ended up having a good turnout -- thanks to word of mouth that we were still racing.  Thanks to everyone who made calls after arriving at the track letting people know the race was still on and conditions were OK.  Our first Great River Shootout series race is in the books.  We will be posting race results soon.  Thanks to everyone for your support!  Check out information about the Great River Shootout.

Thank you to our Sponsors!

We would like to thank all of our sponsors.  Please support our sponsors as they make our races possible thanks to their generosity.  This month's highlighted sponsor is the Quad Doctor.  Check 'em out!

The July newsletter has been posted.

  KAWASAKI        BUCKS

Letter from the President...

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every person, member or not, who has helped with the first two events of the season. If it was in preparation for a race or on race day itself.... THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!  The other board members and myself work very hard to put on smoothly-running events, but we can't do it without the excellent support we get from the rest of the membership! Please keep in mind that less work is required of each person if we get more volunteers.

We had a good turnout of competitors and spectators for our first two events and very few issues. I know we are a MOTORCYCLE club and NOT a motocross club, but motocross is our most popular event. Please understand it is the EVENTS that bring in the extra revenue for maintenance and improvement of our facility and to be able to give back to the membership in other ways.

I have hopes of returning some other events to our club in the near future with more help and support from our membership. I know we can't be the club we were in the 1970's, when I was first a part of Tri-City, but I still wish for more diversity.

We are currently seeking help moving a power pole that the motocross racing surface has come up against. If we need to have the power company come out to do this we will. If someone in our membership can help us get this done cheaper it can free up money to do something else on the list. If anyone can help get this done please contact myself or one of the other board members.

Again, many many thanks to all our volunteers so far in 2008!!!

                                                                    ~ David Genung, President
